My old washer broke after 15 years of service and because it was stacked in a laundry closet I decided to get both a new washer and dryer. I considered this one piece tower unit after reading several positive reviews for this unit by Electrolux. It was delivered in only one day and the installation went smoothly. I am pleased with the size of the drums in both the washer and the dryer -- and that this large size fits in a compact unit. The controls are placed in the center so they are easy to reach and I love that you have the option for a quick wash and also a boost dry feature when you need something dried faster than the normal drying time. So far, I am very pleased with this unit. I had considered a tower unit by another name brand but the reviews on that were not as positive as the Electrolux unit so I am glad I went with this unit.

It™€™s still a bit too early to give a comprehensive review as I™€™ve only used it a handful of times. So far, I love the control panel features. I™€™m still trying to figure out the best options for each load. My clothes feel thoroughly washed with as little water as possible. It™€™s quiet, which is nice. I noticed my clothes came out damp or wrinkled a few times from the dryer. I think the loads may have been too large. I noticed I must use high heat to really get the clothes dry. I noticed some debri collected along the dryer door seal. I also noticed a little water remains in the detergent dispenser. Also I noticed some water collected on the washer door seal. The directions say to clean after every use. The lint collector is awesome! I want to wash a medium load to see if the clothes still come out wrinkled or damp on normal heat. I wish it had a permanent press dryer cycle. I just assumed the normal cycle was permanent press. I like the wrinkle release, tumble dry, and the towels cycle options. Overall, I am very happy with it. It™€™s the perfect blend of standard low tech and not too high tech. I don™€™t have to worry about wifi problems or technical issues but I still have the luxury of having a ™€œsmart™€™€™ stackable that™€™s easy to use.

I live in a condo with a laundry "closet" so I had to get a stackable unit. I chose the Electrolux, mostly because it was the only one with reversible doors, which were required for it's location. Now I wish I'd used the money spent on this unit to repair my old GE unit. Hardly any water in the wash cycles (and we've done all the recommended ways to fix this.) Actually took stuff out of the washer that wasn't even completely wet at the end of the cycle! One quick wash 15 minute cycle. All other wash cycles are over an hour. Dryer just doesn't dry. I set everything on high (over an hour cycle time) and use the "dryer boost" function and items still come out damp. ( 'Normal' cycle doesn't even heat.) I absolutely hate it and wish I'd returned it right away. Plus the issue of having to leave the door open (and detergent drawer) to avoid mold. Oh, and we didn't know, until they delivered it, that it required 2 separate outlets. 220 for dryer and 110 for washer. Had to pay to hire an electrician to install another socket! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Damaged garments on first dry cycle

First, do not use Home Depot for delivery and installation services. 3 crews were incapable of performing the washer door assembly reversal task that I had paid for upfront. Had to do it myself (actually very easy).My primary complaint is regarding the QA of the dryer parts. There are two small pieces of metal that are bent into a housing, just inside the dryer door. These pieces are connected to leads and act as the dryer moisture sensors. Both of these pieces are made from a single piece of metal, bent to 90 degrees at the corners to fit into the plastic housing. Where the metal bends at the corners, left a razor sharp barbs as the metal pinches together. Of course, I didn't notice this initially, until after my first load of delicate golf shirts tumbled overtop of these metal corners, snagging and ripping all 3 shirts to pieces. I tried called customer service to address this, but they refuse to do anything until a qualified tech reviews the unit. It has been several weeks since my call and I'm still waiting for a service tech to show up. I've since had to take the dryer vent assembly apart myself, to pull out the metal sensors and buff down the sharp ends with a grinding stone.I'm still hoping for reimbursement for my damages. So far though, nothing but problems since it's purchase. I would have considered other options, but there are few pounds for a laundry tower unit with a reversible washer door, and unfortunately, this is what the size and shape of my room requires.Besides all of the trouble, the washer works fine. Slower than the unit that I replaced.

I've only had my combo for a few weeks. As there is only 2 of us, my usage is probably below normal. I am not of the technology age. That being said, the settings are easily navigated on this unit. Like all front loading bottom units, it can be difficult to reach in to get that last "sock"!! I keep a grabber near the machine. Works like a charm! It does make a significant amount of noise, but so did my previous washer. Aesthetically, it is a very sleek, unpretentious unit. Also, as a side note, I am a quilter. This unit easily washes & dries my king size quilts. Given, the limited of time I've had this unit, I've only given it 4 stars. Definitely recommend it.

There are so many features I love about this Laundy Tower. Firstly, for my space I needed a stacked unit, this is a perfect fit. I like how the controls for both units are separated, easy to know exactly which one you are adjusting. The drums are full size, nothing small about them. The washing machine self-balances and uses less water. Quiet! The whole unit is so quiet. Mine is set up in my kitchen, right off of my living room. I can watch TV without having to raise the volume. Bought this about a year ago. Tried to contact Home Depot and Electrolux for a long time to help with the dryer as it never worked for even 1 day. It took them forever to respond or sending anyone to check it out. After having to pay someone to do a repair, the 3rd party technician told me it™€™s a defect equipment. The Electrolux or Home Depot still never responded to me to solve the problem. Now it™€™s couple of thousands down the drain and no dryer for a very long time.

Several manufacturers offer stacking washer dryer units; problem is in most cases the controls for the dryer are six feet or so in the air, because they are really designed to be side-by-side! Because this is a purpose-built unit one-piece, all the controls are conveniently positioned at counter height, and there are no middle joints to squeak. Further, no space is wasted so the drums are large. We opted for the 240 volt electric dryer for even temperature; a natural gas version is available as well.One tip: the dryer vent exhaust is slightly inset, and you will need an adjustable elbow to direct the heat to wherever your building ductwork is located.

A few flaws, but worth the cost.

Purchased this directly from manufacturer, which was a good as the cost was better than through a 3rd party. Delivery, install kit, and installation was included. Had some issues with delivery and install, but does not affect the quality of this unit. This worked great for our small space (laundry is plumed in our bathroom) as we needed a stacked unit but were tired of the smaller, unitized set-ups from our apartment days. The full-sized, front load makes washing anything easier and more efficient. The unit does have a smell (baby powder-esque), but it isn't anything that is overwhelming. It does take a bit to balance properly, and that is important or it will rock more during the washer spin cycle. We are still learning all the features, but so far, everything is working great. There is standing water in the drawer that dispenses the detergent, so we do have to leave that open to dry out. 4 stars for smell, balance, and water retention in the detergent dispensing drawer.
